Dear Caribbean Water Sports Friend, CozumelWaterSports was born, just days after hurricane Wilma (Oct. 2005) hit our island for more than 58 hours as a hurricane category 5, the strongest storm ever recorded in history to reach land... Cozumel was hit very hard and infrastructure was down for many days. We are happy to announce, that despite the magnitude, no casualties were directly related to the natural phenomenon, as according to officials. Moreover, the UNBELIEVABLE dedication of Cozumel people, working in the streets just moments after the hurricane and cleaning everything up and rebuilding in no time, was and still is astonishing and an example to lead for the whole world. As Cozumeleńos, we know the importance of our dear visitors, staying on the island or visiting us by cruise ship, and as a community we will not rest to contribute to the success of Cozumel. Cozumel is back up and ready !! As of the official date of the 14th of November 2005 with the arrival of the cruise ships again, many services are available and most on better shape than ever. Therefore, this website has been created in an attempt, to support serious and competent providers of touristic services, in order to recreate a certain quality of life and a vision of the future for the people of Cozumel and provide excellent and special services to visitors. Hurricane Wilma took much away from us, but not our conviction, that Cozumel is and always will be a little paradise.
