Preparations for the 6th Sacred Mayan Journey in Cozumel Start 01/19/2012

As part of preparations for the training of canoe rowers participating in the sixth edition of the Sacred Mayan Crossing which will take place from the 18th to 21st of May 2012, reaching the island of Cozumel from the Xcaret Ecological.

The Lifeguard Corps Coordinator of Civil Protection, Gloria Claudette Pech, announced so far an amount of approximately 40 participants, men and women, national and foreign, signed up for the sixth edition of the Sacred Journey Maya.

Training given by the lifeguard staff Civil Protection, the canoe rowers will receive technical courses focused on swimming, lifesaving and first aid, among others, that serve to ensure safety during the trip to Cozumel which requires a great physical effort.
